NYX are one of the biggest companies in the world when it comes to gaming entertainment on the web and today they announced that their deal to buy out the Cashball Bingo Network was complete.
NYX first announced the buyout at the 5th annual Online Bingo Summit in London and it looks like the deal has now been finalized. With CEO of NYX Interactive Staffan Lindgren stating ‘It’s a great move for us, it allows us to remain proactive in an ever changing industry and we know that the added content from the buyout will allow us to deliver our players with exactly what they want!’.
Neither company has yet announced the amount of money involved in the purchase.
The Cashball Network doesn’t only service players in the UK, it stretches right across Europe and has a big market share in Spain, one of the main reasons NYX acquired the company. BingOle.com, a popular Spanish online bingo room, was thought to be the deal breaker and reports suggest that NYX are also planning to expand their market share in Sweden and Norway by the end of 2010.
Online bingo is certainly getting more popular in Europe and it’ll be interesting to see how European countries take to the game over the coming months.
The good news for NYX Interactive doesn’t stop there either, today they were also announced as winners of the Innovation In Bingo award at the Egaming Bluishness Awards in London. During company COO David Flynn’s acceptance speech he hinted that the company may also look to expand into other vertices come the end of 2010.
